Bank Charges
2007 brought a revolution for bank customers who’ve been charged for things like unauthorized overdrafts, bounced cheques and clearing direct debits without enough money in their accounts. Banks were making billions of pounds a year from these penalty charges, until the customers started fighting back and reclaiming them. Daniel James, from the London band “Oystar” managed to reclaim his bank charges from Lloyds TSB, and was so pleased with himself, he wrote a song about it.
