Club NRG, Stockton
Check out Fridays at Club NRG when Galaxy will be taking over each week with sets from Dave Kelly, Adele Roberts, Duncan Wallace and James Barr. It's free entry for girls and there is also the chance to win a holiday on the night!
The club has undergone recent refurbishment and guarantees a great night so grab your dancing shoes and get down there!
Moby Grape, Stockton
Scene of a recent Tombola on Tour the Moby Grape is a classy bar designed to perfection with some chilled out seating areas and big glass windows looking out onto the river. Great as a first venue on a night out - or a during the week drink after work.
The Centurion, Newcastle
Built into Central Station in Newcastle the mix of Victorian and new really gives the Centurion great character. With the train station being involved you get a wide mix of travellers and locals grabbing a beer here and that helps create a unique experience.
Voted 'Newcastle's most impressive watering hole' by the Observer should give you the push to check it out.
Varsity, Durham
A truly multi-functional venue which is designed for all walks of life. Placed slap bang in the middle of Durham the out door terrace gives you views over the east of the city and for those who prefer a more closed off drinking experience can sample the booths.
It's a great bar for sport and entertainment with 2 big screens and 5 plasmas spread over the 2 bars and free WIFI access for those 'trying' to get a bit of work done.
The Dickens Inn, Middlesbrough
Open from Noon - Midnight the Dickens Inn is a great place for an evening on the town. Spread over 2 floors and a beer garden the Dickens Inn is a top haunt of students and business people alike.
But beware on a weekend it gets very busy so if you prefer a quiet place maybe try during the week.
Hash Bar and Kitchen, Darlington
Close to other bars and nightclubs Hash is a great venue to pop in when your out for the night and with a smart/casual dresscode your sure to fit in fine. Well decorated and a busy place on the evenings, it's not the cheapest place to drink but not over-priced.
With a relaxed atmosphere, Hash manages to attract a good mix of people from a wide age and well worth a visit for a bite to eat during the day too..
