A Teeside couple are gonna be questioned later after a toddler swallowed what's thought to be cannabis. The 18 month old from Hartlepool was rushed to hospital yesterday and is still seriously ill. The man and woman, who are both in their 20s, will be questioned by police later on.
Police are trying to track down a young lad who kicked a baby sheep to death near Middlesborough for a laugh. The lamb was paralysed by the attack, so it had to be put down. Officers are checking out some camera phone footage of the incident, which happened in some playing fields.
A man's had part of his ear bitten off in a fight in Newcastle. The 23 year old, who's from Killingworth, also lost a couple of teeth in the bust up outside a Jesmond pub. Meanwhile, one person was assaulted at the Evolution festival in Gateshead yesterday. 10 people were arrested in total, 8 of them for being drunk and disorderly and 2 on suspicion of theft.
There's confusion over the police car crash that killed a Newcastle teenager. 16 year old Hayley Adamson was hit by the patrol car in the Scotswood area on Monday night, but it's not yet clear if the car was using it's emergency lights and sirens. Police say they're trying to figure out how quick it was going.

Tombola on Tour May 08
Steve and Karen (Breakfast Presenters) are taking the early morning feature back on the road to Pearl Bar, Quayside, Newcastle. The Tombola on Tour pits 10 teams against one another in a test of general knowledge to find out who is worthy of wearing the Tombola on Tour T-shirts. Teams register online to play.
Film Club
