I've been involved with the MediaFly events for a number of years and enjoy passing on my somewhat weird knowledge of dance music and DJing. I teach the students about DJ Culture, how clubbing and events fit in with radio presenting, and the practical side of mixing. We make sure everyone gets a hands on go at mixing, scratching and turning a pair of turntables into a musical instrument.

Enrolling in the Mediafly courses is a great way to get that elusive "foot in the door" and a lot of the guys I've seen come through the courses have gone on to work in the ground crew at the stations and become part of the team. From there they can move into presenting, DJing, Marketing, sales and the technical side of radio.
